The Movie Train Café provides guests with a unique dining experience in historic downtown Fillmore. As you drive up Central Avenue from Highway 126 you can’t help but notice the front of a full size locomotive between two pillars greeting you.  The bright red locomotive is the “prop” used in the filming of the Denzel Washington movie, “Unstoppable”.  Hundreds of movie and television props, posters  and other railroad memorabilia, as well as authentic railroad equipment fill the dining rooms and outside patio areas. As unique as the décor is, the food is authentic American cuisine with a southern flavor, as the chef and manager Sassy would say, “cooked with love”.   The restaurant specializes in BBQ Tri-tip, chicken and steaks. The patio area houses the always-fired up BBQ, sending the smoky aromas around the downtown area. There is plenty of seating inside and outside and is a great venue for parties, meetings and special events.  The Movie Train Café friendly and professional staff will cater any affair, small or large.
